GEOFF MAYER is a Reader and Associate Professor in Cinema Studies at La Trobe University. He is Head of the School of Communication, Arts and Critical Enquiry. His previous books include: Roy Ward Baker (2004), Guide to British Cinema (Greenwood, 2003), The Oxford Companion to Australian Film (1999), and New Australian Cinema (1992). His most recent book is the co-edited volume, The Cinema of Australia and New Zealand (2007).
